Making a homemade peanut sauce is a great way to elevate so many different dishes. You can smother it on these great Thai Chicken Wraps, top a salad, cook with a noodle dish or simply use it as a dip for some fresh spring rolls or veggies.

Use a more natural peanut butter and this dip will be free of all the preservatives most store-bought dips have. And it tastes better too.

Just add to a food processor or blender and mix until creamy. Done in about 5 minutes.

    Tips and Notes

Start off with ¼ cup water but then add more until you reach your desired consistency. If using for a wrap keep it a bit thicker. If using for a dipping sauce thin it out a little more.

To give the sauce a little bit of a kick add in some sambel oelek. It is a red chili sauce that has great flavor. Siracha could even be used instead, but the simplicity of the sambel oelek adds a nice flavor.

For a sweeter taste add a little bit of honey.

    Ingredients

    • Peanut Butter
    • Soy Sauce
    • Fresh Lime Juice
    • Ginger
    • Garlic
    • Rice Vinegar
    • Seasame Oil
    • Garlic
    • Water
    • Optional: Sambel Oelek. (Adds a nice little kick)

    How to Make

In a food processor or blender, add all the ingredients. I prefer to use my food processor over a blender. While they both work great I just find the processor is a lot easier to use. You can also use an immersion blender.

I have a 12 cup Cuisinart food processor that also has a 4 cup attachment that works great for sauces.

A bowl and whisk can also be used. Just make sure you press or mince the garlic really fine.

Pulse until completely combined and is smooth and creamy.

Cover and put in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.

Peanut sauce will last about 5 days if stored in an airtight container in the fridge. It may start to separate so just give it a good stir right before use.

This sauce goes great on these Thai Chicken Wraps.
