Creamy Mushroom Sauce

This star of this dish is the mushrooms. Slowly cooked in butter and salt which draws out all their moisture and flavor. Paired with fresh herbs to really bring it to life.

Unsalted Butter Yellow Onion  Mushrooms Kosher Salt Garlic All Purpose Flour Black Pepper Fresh Thyme Beef Broth Heavy Cream Fresh Parsley

What You Will Need

Cast iron or other larger skillet.

Sauté onions in olive oil and butter.


Add mushrooms and salt. Sauté until they are soft. 


Add in flour, thyme, and pepper and garlic.


Slowly add in beef stock and stir to incorporate. Allow to thicken and reduce then add in the cream.


Add fresh parsley.


Serve with a steak, chicken, pork or pasta.
