Tips for Making  Sourdough Focaccia

Dimple the dough

Use olive oil

Top with flaky sea salt for extra flavor

– All Purpose Flour – Sea Salt – Warm Water –  Active Sourdough Starter – Honey

What You Will Need

Mix all the ingredients together really well until it forms a loose ball of dough.


Then using a silicone bowl scraper to form into a ball. Cover and let rest 1 hour.


Again, using wet hands and the bowl scraper perform a set of stretch and folds.


Repeat and rest 1 more hour.


Coat some parchment with olive oil and place on a baking sheet.


Place the dough on the parchment and shape into a rectangle.

If the dough keeps springing back, let it rest 10 minutes and repeat.


Cover with a very light, damp towel and let rest 6-8 hours.


While oven is preheating drizzle with olive oil and using your hands create dimples in the dough.


Sprinkle with flaky sea salt and fresh rosemary and bake.


Bake until golden brown.


Enjoy on it's own or make into a sandwich!
