Sourdough Discard Scones

Soft and flaky sourdough scone recipe. They are easy to make and are best when served warm with some butter and raspberry jam.

Ingredients

– All Purpose Flour – Sugar – Baking Powder – Salt – Unsalted Butter  – Sourdough Discard – Heavy Cream – Egg – Vanilla Extract

Mix Dry Ingredients

Start off by mixing all the dry ingredients together.

Mix Starter and Cream

In a separate bowl mix together the starter and cream.

Egg and Vanilla

Add in the egg and vanilla. Whisk until incorporated.

Add Butter

Take the cubbed butter and mix it in the flour mix with a pastry cutter.

Mix Wet and Dry

Mix together the wet and dry ingredients.

Form into a Disk

Form into a 8" disk.

Cut into 8 Triangles

Take a bench scraper and cut into 8 triangles.

Bake and Enjoy!

Bake at 400 degrees and enjoy with some butter and raspberry jam.
