Rich and nutritious homemade turkey broth. Turn that leftover turkey carcass and vegetable scraps into an irresistible broth that can be used in soups, stews, and other recipes.

Prepare the Pot

In a large pot place the turkey, veggies and fill with cold water.

Simmer

Bring to a boil and reduce to low. Simmer for 6-8 hours.

Strain Broth

Strain the broth and throw away the bones and veggies scraps.

Chill Overnight

Cover and chill in the refrigerator overnight.

Remove Fat

Once chilled, a layer of fat will form on the top.

Remove Fat

Remove with a slotted spoon and throw away.

Store

Freeze in mason jars to use later. Keep 1" of headpiece to allow for expansion.
