Don't make your next potato or roasted veggies with out this easy lemon garlic aioli sauce. It takes just a few minutes to prepare and will be gone in seconds. Mayo, lemon, pepper, and of course lots of garlic blended up for the best dipping sauce.

One thing that I do to elevate just about any dish is to add a homemade sauce. A homemade sauce just sends any meal over the edge.

This garlic aioli is a staple in our house and at my husbands' fire station. It's so easy to prepare and is a great compliment to any potato or roasted veggie dish.

    Ingredients

Ingredients for lemon garlic aioli: mayonnaise, lemon, garlic, salt, and pepper.
    Ingredients
    • Mayonnaise
    • Fresh Garlic
    • Lemon
    • Ground Black Pepper
    • Kosher Salt

See recipe card for full measurements.

Use fresh, from the peel garlic and freshly squeezed lemons if you can. This will ensure you will get the best flavor.

The lemon concentrate is full of artificial flavors and additives and just doesn't measure up to a real lemon.

    Instructions

Step 1: Take the time to press your garlic or mince super fine.

Step 2: Juice your lemon. I prefer to use a citrus juicer. It catches the seeds and the liquid falls into a container that makes it easy to pour and measure out what I need.

Step 3. Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl and your done!

Step 4: Chill for 2 hours to allow all the flavors to come together. Adjust salt, pepper or garlic to your desired taste.

    Storage

This sauce will last 3-4 days in the refrigerator in an air-tight container.

This sauce would not hold up well to freezing. Since it is a mayo base which is an emulsion of oil and egg, it can become seperated during thawing.

It is best to use within a few days.

    Equipment

There are two kitchen tools that make this sauce super quick and easy. They are great tools every kitchen should have.

Garlic Press: This makes pressing garlic a breeze and this particular press in by far the best. It can press multiple cloves at once and easy to clean.

Lemon Juicer: Super easy way to get all the juice from a lemon but not the seeds. Saves so much energy and time.

Did you try it? Would love to hear what you think! Please leave a comment below letting me if you enjoyed it as much as we do.
